Boating
One thing I've learned is that Lake Boating does not require anti-nausea medication anywhere near the requirement that would be needed on the open ocean.  (Unless your lucky and just don't have that inner ear balance problem like me.)

Inland lake boating usually results in calm, steady waters.  I've love being on New Hampshirelakes, especially that amazing 7 x 2.5 mile lake near Bristol called Newfound Lake.  The vistas are amazing, there are islands, coves and places where you can stand waste deep in warm clear water and places where snorkeling shows you ancient rock formations and fish that tend to make me hungry after a long day in the hot sun.

I am the proud owner of a dock at the Newfound Boat Club and have had this dock since 1997.  I used to have a 45 horsepower pontoon boat... I know its a boat for guys who are supposed to be older than me (although that may not be true anymore) but I sold that beautiful teal colored boat and have rented that dock for the past few years.  I'm glad I held it because I couldn't afford to buy it back any more.

My goal is to get a 140+ HP runabout and see if I can skim the surface.... the pontoon used to take 45 minutes to transverse the north-south line of the lake... I wonder what that runabout would take?  I'm the webmaster of the Newfound Boat Club and if you would like to see some interesting geography of that part of the world and a view of how the club is situated on the Fowler River (leading into the lake) then just click this link....  www.NewfoundBoatClub.org.
